This book is not only well written, but it's contents funny and entertaining, yet real and sincere. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the tales through Bill Taylor's eyes. Growing up in Africa as a Missionary Kid as well, I appreciated the stories and, even more so, living the experiences through a simple read. I read the actual book and then came looking for it on -- it's just that good!
Bill Taylor is not the kind of man you see walking down the street of an American city - although that's where I first saw him. Introduced by relatives, I found him very intimidating at first, because this is a kind of man who I thought only lived in legends, and there's no way to be in Bill's presence and leave still being comfortable with who you are. I only have the kindle version and it has many typos that you might have to stop and work around, but these are absolutely riveting stories told by the kind of man that every little boy dreams of being.
Just my mind of book. I loved the humour and could just feel Bill's love for his family and our beloved wildlife. Wish there were more people like him in Africa.
I was given this book as a present as we could not locate it anywhere. I laughed and cried right though the book. My husband thought of and we got it from you. Thank so it is the best and a book that I will read every now and then. The other book of Bill Taylor is called Truck Calls, should you be able to locate that and put in on shop I will most definitely buy it!
